Seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to care for newborns through teens in the outpatient setting. The Essentia care model offers a collegial team environment. Our providers are highly committed to the care of our region's children. Provide the full range of pediatric medicine in an enjoyable and fulfilling work environment. 1.0 FTE, full-time status (36 patient contact hours).
- 1.0 FTE, full-time status
- Average 36 patient contact hours in clinic; 4 hours of professional time
- Must be pediatric trained and certified through PNCB or ANCC (PPCNP-BC) or within the first year of employment; experience working as a PNP is preferred.
The Nurse Practitioner utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. The candidate provides care to children and adolescents aged 0-18 years old, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. This is a full-time position, with 36 patient contact hours per week and 4 hours of professional time.
Education/Training:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited program/institution.
- Pediatric certified through PNCB or able to obtain within first year of employment.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- Current licensure/ability to secure as a registered nurse in ND.
- Current licensure/ability to secure as a Nurse Practitioner in ND
- Current certification in CPR; requires PALS Certification. If these certifications are not current, Essentia will arrange for certification after employment begins.
- National certification, in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
