Responsible for performing professional accounting and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles to ensure timely and actionable information for internal and external use. This position maintains corporate financial systems to provide management with accurate financial statements and leads the preparation and review of all general ledger activity. Provides shared accounting support to areas of audit, forecasting, budgeting, and capital planning as needed.Key areas of responsibility include fixed asset and capital accounting, debt and lease management, external surveys and reporting, and federal and state tax work, including 990 and other required filings. This position provides input and guidance to other members of the Finance team, proactively identifies opportunities, and works on projects with moderate complexity, risk, and scope. The position will lead projects, identify opportunities, and develop recommendations for process and reporting improvements.Education Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review general ledger activity and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee fixed asset and capital accounting, including capitalization and depreciation
- Manage debt and lease accounting, including compliance and reporting
- Perform tax-related work, including 990 and other required filings and reporting
- Support audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial projects while driving process improvements
Required Education:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
Preferred Experience
- 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, tax work, or related experience
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
No certification/licensure required.
