Job Description:
This position assists with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of selected technical aspects of patient care under direct supervision of the Charge RN, Assistant Head Nurse, Nurse Manager and/or the Director, to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies as well as meeting the goals and mission of the department. Provides direct and indirect care for adolescent to geriatric patients to aid meeting the patients’ needs as directed. Provides patients with activity opportunities appropriate to their ages and abilities and related to their plan for care, either individually and/or in group settings.Education Qualifications:
- 1 year experience working with persons with mental health symptoms or related applicable experience OR Degree in social services related field OR Residential/Group Home experience.
- For positions in the Child/Adolescent Unit: The experience needed is Residential/Group Home experience or Child/Adolescent experience in a mental health setting.
- Completed psychology courses - preferred

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire. (This does not apply to department 2010-2194290 AMBERWING - AMB)
- Complete de-escalation training within 6 weeks of hire if no previous de-escalation training or has not had a de-escalation training/refresher within the past 1 calendar year
