Under supervision, functions as a member of a team utilizing equipment and services. Sets up, operates and monitors specialized equipment and supplies utilized for cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. Functions as assistant to cardiologist or surgeons during catheter-based and devise implant procedures.Education Qualifications:
Central:
Must be a graduate of a Radiology Technology, Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent program. If not a graduate of above programs must have 4yrs of direct cath lab experience.
West:
Graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology/Radiologic Technology school.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Central:
Must be currently registered Radiological Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or must become RT(R) or RCIS certified within 18 months of hire or transfer.
Current Certification (or within 1 month of hire) as American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or within 6 months of hire).
West:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
Current license issued by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRTB)
Must be Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within 24 months of hire/transfer.
