Seeking a medical professional to serve as Infection Prevention Specialist at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Essentia Health's hospital in Brainerd, Minnesota. This employee works Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Occasional weekends on call are required.Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, or an RN with an ADN and the ability to complete BSN within 1 year of hire.

What You'll Do:
Works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to assure the safety of patients, personnel, visitors, and the community. Responsibilities include compiling, analyzing, and disseminating infection prevention data, reviewing and recommending changes in practice when indicated, and providing education consistent with best practice standards and requirements of regulatory agencies, e.g., TJC, OSHA, and the goals and mission of Essentia.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- CIC certification is required within 2 years of hire.
- 2 years clinical experience in a patient care setting (prefer inpatient/hospital setting), medical lab, public health, infection prevention, or closely related field.
