Responsible for assisting with planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of injury prevention programs locally and regionally. This position provides leadership by coordinating community and regional programs to ensure commitment to the prevention of injuries to all age groups. This position also assists with training of other health care professionals in injury prevention and with requirements as outlined by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma for an effective injury prevention program.Education Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelors degree in a healthcare or wellness related field
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years teaching in classroom/community setting
Minimum of 1 year in program development
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of injury prevention programs locally and regionally.
Provide leadership in coordinating community and regional programs focused on injury prevention for all age groups.
Assist with training healthcare professionals in injury prevention strategies and meet requirements outlined by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.
Conduct infant safety initiatives, such as car seat checks, and educate on elderly fall prevention.
Deliver school presentations on topics like bike safety, water safety, and drunk driving prevention.
Partner with community organizations, such as Duluth Police and Fon du Lac, to promote injury prevention efforts.
Spend significant time engaging with the community to build relationships and promote safety programs.
