Our Detroit Lakes Urgent Care is seeking a provider to join the team in providing exceptional healthcare to our growing community and the surrounding area. With strong community involvement and a solid sense of teamwork, become a part of this busy practice setting. This ideal practice setting offers access to the resources of a multi-specialty clinic and is adjacent to the hospital and emergency medicine department. Our UC team consists of 3 Advanced Practice Providers with MD oversight.
- 0.75 FTE
- Must be certified to care for individuals of all ages
- Patient variety and high-acuity needs
- Open Mon-Fri from 8a-8p, Sat & Sun from 8a-4p
- 2-3 shifts/week rotating every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday
- Variable schedule floating needed to cover CME/vacations at Park Rapids HWY 34 Walk-In Clinic. May also provide coverage in ED, if interested
- Ability to work within a team
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, the NP/PA works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. NP/PAs provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
- Experience in Emergency Medicine, Walk-In or Urgent Care preferred!
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR
- National certification, in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
