Job Description:
Provides oversight of the daily operations of the assigned department including staffing and developing/implementing workflows and processes as well as provides input to the leader regarding policies, procedures, systems, and operating budgets. Responsible for direct nursing leadership, nursing staff development, patient care, and patient advocacy. Supports continuous quality improvement efforts in order to achieve high quality and ongoing progress in all areas of care and service.Education Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
Manages fill rates, physician and advanced practice provider schedules and templates daily
Manages in reach or out reach as relevant to assigned practices
Implements actions to improve employee engagement
Ensures standard work is implemented to achieve quality metrics
Provides coaching, feedback and ensures development conversations are completed for all members of the team
Serves as escalation point for patient access to care
Participates in PDSA's and other improvement activities
Provides input into long-range financial planning, program development and capital planning process
Delegates work to assigned supervisors if appropriate
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare leadership or clinical healthcare field
OR
Associate’s degree in nursing and ability to obtain bachelor’s degree within 3 years from date of hire
Required Qualifications:
3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical setting or completion of administrative fellowship through Essentia Health fellowship program
Preferred Qualifications:
2 year’s nursing experience in related specialty, ambulatory setting; or community health with demonstrated leadership ability.
