Seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) psychotherapist as an integrated member of our primary care team based in Detroit Lakes, MN. Our exceptional team of primary care physicians and advanced practice professionals utilize best practice methods to provide an environment that is engaging, innovative, value-driven, respectful, and proactive in the care of our patients.
Practice Details/Job Description:
- 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week) with FT benefits; Monday-Friday 8a-5p
- Based in Detroit Lakes with potential outreach to Walker and Menahga clinics.
- Outpatient therapy caseload – pediatric experience and competence a plus.
- Work within an interdisciplinary team of primary care providers, psychologists, LICSWs, NPs, and psychiatrists.
- Master in Social Work (MSW) or Master of Arts (MA) in counseling required
- Management of psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases.
- Application of behavioral principles to address lifestyle and health risk issues.
- Consultation and co-management in the treatment of mental health disorders and psychosocial issues.
Job Functions:
- In collaboration with the primary care provider and/or psychiatric medication provider, provider will treat and manage mental health and psychosocial issues.
- Conduct client intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations, then make recommendations to the primary care provider and/or psychiatric medication provider concerning the clients’ treatment goals and plan.
- Provide consultation to the primary care provider and/or psychiatric medication provider to enhance their skill and effectiveness in treating mental health concerns.
- Give primary care providers and/or psychiatric medication provider timely feedback about patients’ care, treatment recommendations, and progress.
- Assist, when possible, in the clients’ community functioning by helping with public benefits, vocational rehabilitation, social support, housing, etc.
- Appropriately document the clients’ progress and diagnostic information in the treatment chart to sync with EMR interface and billing.
- Actively collaborate with members of the Behavioral Health team in building and maintaining a supportive, effective, and respectful workplace environment.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical counseling, psychology, or other discipline that meets eligibility requirements for licensure in the primary state of practice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical or behavioral health setting.
- Experience providing care to a diverse population.
- Experience with use of electronic medical records (EMR).
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- License to practice psychotherapy in the state in which the position is based.
- Licensed or license-eligible to provide telehealth services in other states in the market.
- Must be licensed in Minnesota and in good standing.
- Must obtain license in North Dakota within 6 months of hire.
Minnesota:
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Compensation:
- LGSW, MFT, LPC, CSW, LAMFT – Non-credentialed Therapist - $29.81-$44.72
- LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW – Credentialed Therapist - $33.57-$50.36
- Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
