Job Description:
Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.Education Qualifications:
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
Wound nurses see a variety of patient by consult in the inpatient units, ED and OR managing ostomy patients and patients with complex wounds
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
- Experience RN
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
- Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses (WOCN) certification, or certification from an accredited program of Enterostomal Therapy/Wound Care within 12 months of hire or transfer Traditional WOC Pathway - WEB WOC Programs
- Position is Eligible for the Career Ladder, must meet requirements.
