Seeking a Registered Nurse to serve in Essentia Health's pain clinic at our 32nd Avenue building in Fargo, North Dakota. This RN works 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required.Education Qualifications:
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.

What You'll Do:
Is a professional practicing in a multi-faceted domain of specialty nursing that focuses on health care of individuals, families, groups, communities and entire populations. Provides care that occurs in specialty care outpatient facilities and during tele health nursing encounters that occur in medical offices. Have authority, accountability and responsibility for nursing practice; makes decisions; and takes action consistent with the obligation to promote health and to provide optimal care recognizing that health is a universal right. Interacts with patients in concert with other health professionals, skillfully uses the nursing process to assess primary concerns, identify problems, analyze and integrate subjective and objective data, decide on a plan of action, apply the appropriate intervention and evaluate the outcome. Key responsibilities include:
1. Room Preparation and Maintenance
- Prepare and clean patient rooms before and after each visit.
- Restock rooms with necessary supplies to maintain readiness.
- Regularly check for outdated supplies and medications, ensuring timely
disposal or replacement.
2. Supply and Medication Management
- Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and medications.
- Order and restock supplies and medications as needed.
- Draw up medications according to provider instructions and clinic protocols.
3. Staff and Student Precepting
- Provide orientation and training to new staff and students.
- Offer ongoing mentorship to ensure skill development and adherence to
protocols.
4. Chart Preparation and Management
- Prepare charts for patient visits, ensuring all necessary information is
included.
- Obtain additional documentation or information during chart prep as
required.
5. Authorization and Denials Support
- Check prior authorization statuses related to departmental needs.
- Collaborate with the prior authorization team to resolve insurance denials.
- Work on obtaining additional information required for successful
authorization approvals.
6. Administrative Duties
- Scan, fax, and sort mail as needed.
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Manage in-basket tasks, including responding to messages and handling
paperwork.
7. Escalation and Delegation
- Escalate appointment issues to the appropriate coordinator when needed.
- Delegate messages, paperwork, and tasks appropriately to team members.
8. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support clinic
operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of duties.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- Current RN license with the North Dakota State Board of Nursing.
- Minnesota RN license within 3 months of hire.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
