Summer 2027 Student Nurse Internship Program

Education Qualifications:

As a Student Nurse Intern, you will work under direct supervision, providing essential support in both routine and technical aspects of nursing care for patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient care activities while adhering to best practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Help maintain a safe and healing environment for patients and families.

Units Available for Student Nurse Interns:

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU/ICU)
• Float Team
• Emergency Department (ED)
• Medical/Surgical
• Medical Unit
• Procedural Units: OR/PACU/Cath Lab/Endoscopy
• Oncology
• Grace Unit (Behavioral Health)
• Family Birthplace

Internship Requirements:

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN)
• Completion of junior year coursework of a Bachelor’s Nursing Program OR two semesters of an Associates Nursing Program by summer 2027.
• Enrollment and active participation in an approved internship co-operative course at an accredited nursing school in the state of employment for the summer semester
• Must be able to commit to 32-40 hours/week (up to 400 hours for the entire summer).
• Working Shifts Include: days, nights, and weekends
• Students with full/part-time summer class loads will have adjusted hour requirements and must be able to commit to 32 hours every two weeks
