Paramedic

Job Description:
You respond to all emergent and non-emergent calls and/or hospital codes, providing medical support and care for patients in both pre-hospital and hospital environments. You assist in assessing patients continuously by identifying their needs and determining the best course of treatment. Using appropriate medical equipment, devices, and treatment modalities, you deliver advanced medical care and basic life support services to patients. You may also be asked to provide patient care in a hospital setting, performing tasks delegated by the RN based on your training and capabilities. Qualifications:

State licensure/certification as a Paramedic or a Registered Nurse authorized to operate as a Paramedic in the appropriate state of practice.

Work Experience:
NIMS 100, 200, 700
Over 75, need to have medical permission

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification required at time of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required at time of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification (or must obtain within 6 months of hire)

Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency.

Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health 's insurer

State Background check must provide clearance to work with vulnerable adults

Pay Range
$22.77 - $34.15 / hour

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
