Job Description:
Provides nursing care to patients defined by the unit’s scope of care. Under the direction of the RN, collaborates with physicians, the patient and family, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to meet each patient’s individualized needs. Work Experience: Central Market - 13300 MH Adult Consolidated and 14200 Focus Unit Only: In accordance with Minnesota Rules 9530.6450 Subpart 1-B; all employees must be free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems are defined as: Receiving treatment for chemical use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements. Chemical use that has a negative impact on the staff member's job performance; Chemical use that affects the credibility of treatment services with clients, referral sources, or other members of the community; and Symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.

Education Qualifications:

No educational requirements. 


Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Current Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of employment.

WEST:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or obtained within 3 months of employment.

Fargo 32nd Ave location:

Med/Surg departments (13241, 13181) must have completed IV medication courses through LPN curriculum or be IV certified.

Emergency Department (12501) must have completed IV medication courses through LPN curriculum or be IV certified.

Fargo 32nd Ave location: 

CIC/Telemetry department (13231) must obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment. 

Emergency Department (12501) must obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment. 

Graceville and Ada Locations:

Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)  within 1 year from the date of hire.


EAST/CENTRAL:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or obtained within 3 months of employment.
