Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing security strategy and execution in area facilities. Supervises security personnel in area sites and is the security consultant for site leaders. Works in an actively collaborative manner fostering close working relationships with Essentia Health facilities and departments. Manages security budget and planning. Responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, and monitoring of all Security Management Plan activities. Provides guidance, as requested, to system facilities, such as clinics and other hospitals.

Bachelors degree with a preference in criminal justice, psychology, related field.
Work Experience:
2 years of experience
Full-time experience as a licensed law enforcement officer, assigned to the duty of field investigations, auditing, or in a major operational area within a criminal justice agency
Program development and implementation
Violence Prevention Training and Awareness experience
Experience in researching, developing, and facilitating training to adult learners
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in areas of political science, security studies, applied intelligence, business and/or public administration, security management, or a related field of study preferred.
Healthcare security experience.
Project management, development and implementation experience.
Full-time experience as a licensed law enforcement officer, assigned to the duty of field investigations, auditing, or in a major operational area within a criminal justice agency.
Violence Prevention Training and Awareness experience.
Experience in researching, developing, and facilitating training to adult learners.
Knowledge of security best practices, and security standards. Ability to convey salient information accurately and concisely.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Professional Certified Investigator through ASIS preferred.
Certified Threat Manager through ATAP preferred.

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package.
