Job Description:
Responsible for organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

The perfect candidate for this position will have the following experience:

Qualifications:

  • Current nursing licensure in the state(s) of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from the date of hire.

Tier 1

Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience and currently starting IV’s, trouble-shooting PIV’s and central lines. Must have experience with placing central lines (i.e. PICCs).  Experience with ultrasound guided vascular access, Port-a-Cath access and knowledge of/experience with de-clotting central lines preferred.

Tier 2

2 years acute care nursing experience. Experience within 2 years of placement of peripheral IV’s as part of job duties, including maintenance of peripheral IV’s and central lines.

Tier 3

2 years acute care nursing experience with past IV experience.

    The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package.
