Nursing Assistant - Student Pre-Nursing Program - Float Team

Job Description:
Seeking a student planning on enrolling or currently accepted into an RN nursing program to join us as a CNA! This is a casual, PRN role but it will require some weekends and some holidays. You will be trained to float to all of the inpatient units. You may also be assigned to 1:1 with a patient or be a tele-sitter. This position requires someone who is motivated, outgoing, independent, compassionate, and a team player. This NA is responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to: Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance, appropriately and safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping, recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process. Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Education Qualifications:

• Must be accepted in or panning on enrolling in an accredited Registered Nursing program.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• BLS Certification required within 3 months of hire. 
• Certified Nursing Assistant through ND Department of Health OR Registered as a Nurse Assistant through the ND Department of Health within 3 months from date of employment.

Pay Range
$15.63 - $23.45 / hour

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
