Surgical Technologist First Assist - FT Days - Surgery

Job Description:
Seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assist in our operating room at Essentia Health Fargo Hospital on 32nd Avenue. A $5000 bonus is available! Holiday, weekend, and evenings on call rotations are required. Schedule is 6:30 am to 3 pm, 40 hours weekly. Provides assistance to the surgeon to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure. Assists the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, suturing, dressing and other duties as delegated. May also work as a Surgical Technologist.

Education Qualifications:

• Graduate of a surgical assisting program accredited through ARCST and recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health education programs (CAAHEP) OR graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology with certification as a surgical assistant by the NBSTSA (National  Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Unlicensed assistive person (UAP) in the appropriate state(s) upon hire or within 3 months of hire if working as a Surgical Technologist.
• Certified as a certified surgical first assist by the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 3 months from date of hire.

Pay Range
$33.21 - $49.82 / hour

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
