Job Description:
Responsible for organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Brainerd Lakes - 13300 MH Adult Consolidated and 14200 Focus Unit Only:

  • In accordance with Minnesota Rules 245G.11 subdivision 1; all employees must be free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems are defined as: receiving treatment for substance use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements, including medication-assisted treatment; substance use or mental health disorders that have negatively impacted the staff member’s job performance; substance use or mental health disorders that affect the credibility of treatment services with clients, referral sources, or other members of the community; and symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.

  • Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire
  • Benet Hall Assisted Living:  Licensed Assisted Living Director with the State of MN preferred
  • Nurses working in Cost Center: 14170 Adult Parial Program and 14290 Amberwing are required to have a current RN Licenses in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
