Job Description:
Provides a comprehensive array of professional services related to the identification, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of persons with auditory and balance disorders and the disabilities associated with them. Audiologists utilize evaluation, assessment, patient education and counseling tools to identify and provide non-medical management of disorders of the auditory, balance, and neural system. Audiologists work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Education Qualifications:

East Market:
AuD or PhD in Audiology or an Audiologist practicing with a masters degree in audiology before August 2007.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

  • Audiologist practices independently and is responsible for the clinic’s day to day operations, supported by a full time Audiology Assistant.
  • No evening or weekend schedule.  Collaboration exists with Audiologist’s in the Essentia system.
  • Diagnostic evaluations and hearing instrument dispensing are the primary focus.  ENT coverage is provided daily.
  • Patient referrals come from within the Essentia system and outside clinics and hospitals. 
  • Opportunity exists for growth in Audiology testing/services provided, audiology staff, and expansion to additional clinic sites. 
  • The Audiology Department is generous in size consisting of 2 diagnostic sound suites,             one hearing aid fitting room and one patient education room.  The Audiologist and assistant have an additional office and retail space.
  •  Recent equipment upgrades include 1 clinical audiometer, Impedance Bridge, VRA system in the larger test booth and pending real-ear system.

REQUIREMENTS

  • AuD or PhD in Audiology or an Audiologist practicing with a Master’s degree in Audiology before August 2007.
  • Eligible for licensure as an Audiologist in Minnesota
  • National certification in either ASHA CCC’s or American Board of Audiology Certification

  • 200 miles north of Minneapolis, MN on the Iron Range
  • Located near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Superior National Forest, Voyagers National Park and Mesabi Bike Trail. Close access to miles of cross country ski trails and snowmobile trails. 
  • Virginia population: 9,400. Regional Service area: 53,000

$36.63 - $45.79 / hour

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
